Mr. Robert D. Moody, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the VA Medical Center in Lake City, FL. following an extended illness.

He is the son of the late Marie Murdock Bigham and is preceded in death by his eldest son Dale R. Moody, Sr.

Robert had made Union County his home for the past twenty-one years after moving here from Miami, FL. He served his country in the United States Army, and he was an Operating Engineer for Local Union 487 out of Miami, FL for forty years.  He was affiliated with Philippi Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with his family, building model ships, working on cars, fishing, drawing, woodworking, and watching westerns.

Robert is survived by his wife of sixty-one years Gay Moody, of Lake Butler, FL; son Robert Moody (Caroline) of Lake Butler, FL; and two daughters Patricia Ranard (Duane) of Lake Butler, FL; and Mitzi Moody, of Palmetto, FL. He was Pa to his twelve grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
