Robert Earl Lee, 88 of Wellborn, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024 at the Macclenny Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Macclenny.  Mr. Lee was born Argyle, Georgia to the late Joseph Earl Lee and Teary Corbett Lee.  He was raised in Homerville, Georgia, was a graduate of Clinch County High School and served our country in the United States Army.  Mr. Lee had made his home in Wellborn since 1989 having previously been a long time resident of Green Cove Springs.  He  worked in the Lumber Industry with Georgia Pacific and retired from Woodford Plywood in Albany, Georgia.  He was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed fishing and loved RV'ing.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son in law, Dean Gehrke.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Margaret Elizabeth Mosley Lee, Wellborn; his 3 children, Joseph Clinton Lee (Frances), Murfreesboro, AR, Bobbi Pollard (Scott), Glen St. Mary, FL and Betti Morris (Curtis), Colorado Springs, CO; two brothers and one sister; five grandchildren, Robert Samuel Lee, Clinton Thomas Lee (Stephanie), Kady Pollard, Candace Leon and Brandon Kyle Gehrke; and eight great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Lee will be conducted on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Interment will follow.
