Mr. Robert D. Keen, 78, of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at the North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville after an extended illness. He was born in Lake City on August 7, 1939 to the late Sherod Sheffield Keen, Jr. and Hazel Crawford Jones. He was a lifelong resident of the North Florida area and was a Construction Superintendent for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching football, NASCAR, and gardening. He loved his grandchildren dearly and was an avid dirt-track racer in his younger years. He was an honorary member of the Circle R Hunting Club and was a member of the Pine Rose Advent Christian Church. He is preceded in death by his brother; Don Keen.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years; Barbara Keen of Lake City; sons; Robert Dion Keen, Jr. (Andy Riess) of Keystone Heights, Tracy Sheffield Keen (Freda Ann) of South Carolina and David Roberts (Norma Jean) of Lake City; daughters; Charity Alisa Calhoun of Lake City; Robbie Dee Keen of Lake City; Amber Laura Revels (Daniel Morgan) of Lake City and Ceirra Danielle Revels of Lake City; brothers; Sherrod Keen (Marcell) and James D. Keen (Shirley) both of Lake City. Fourteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Keen will be conducted on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 11:30 A.M. in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends from 11:00-11:30 A.M. (thirty minutes prior to the services) at the cemetery.
