Robert Eugene Glenn Jr., 69, of Lake City, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Honolulu Oahu, Hawaii to Bernice "Tavares" and the late Robert E. Glenn Sr., and had lived here in Columbia County for the past 59 years. He was a kind and loving husband, father, grand & great grandfather who enjoyed being outdoors, fishing & hunting, but spending time with his grandchildren was the love of his life. He retired from faithful service to his country with the United States Navy and then from the Florida Department of Corrections.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Carol "Cookie" Burk and his father, Robert E. Glenn Sr.
Survivors include his loving wife of 34 years, Vicki Glenn of Lake City, FL; son, Robert E. Glenn III of Lake City, FL, daughters, Stephanie Montgomery of Palm Coast, FL & Kelly (Jason) DuBose of Lake City, FL; mother: Bernice Glenn, Ormond Beach, FL; sister, Betty (Ace) Sumter of Ormond Beach, FL; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
