Mr. Robert Lawrence Cook, 82 of Lake City, went peacefully in his sleep to be with his heavenly family on Wednesday, September 2, 2015. Robert, also known by many as Bob, was born to the late Elizabeth Carr and Lawrence Cook in Watertown, NY on March 30, 1933. He was a devoted husband and family man. Robert served in the United States Army in the 187th Airborne Division and was a triple Purple Heart recipient and a well decorated Korean War Veteran. He was preceded in death by his three sisters, Helen Watson, Louise Secor and Jenny Ford.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Louetta Cook; three daughters, Kristy, Debbie and Lorie; his two sons, Lorne and Lacey; his grandchildren, Amanda and Lou Hermesman, Dana Bennett, Kenneth McCumber, Austin Voidanoff, Cyle and Cole Harden, Jasmine Mann, Breanna Glass and Dalton Nazworth; and eight great grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Interment will follow. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service from 2-3:00 pm at the funeral home.
