Robert Lee "Bob" Bostic, 81, of Lake City, passed away from this life on Wednesday evening, January 26, 2022 at the Haven-Suwannee Valley Hospice Care Center after an extended illness. He was born in Miami, Florida on September 15, 1940 to the late Colin Bostic and Joann Pritchard Darnell. He grew up and lived in the Homestead area and relocated to Lake City in 1981. He was a State Trooper with the Florida Highway Patrol, retiring in 2004 as a Felony Officer after 32 years of service. He was a member of the Celebration Community Church and was a "Jack of all trades", he always had to have something to do. He could also just about do anything from carpentry work to working on his extensive train set as a hobby. He is preceded in death by his daughters, Regina Bostic Edwards and Marritt Bostic Fraley; and his brother, Hubert Bostic.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lois Bostic; sons, Robert Lee "Bo" Bostic, Jr, William "Billy" Bostic (Julie) and Lynn Lounsbury (Carrie Lynn); daughters, Deborah Todd (Thomas) and Cheryl Lounsbury; and brother, Harry Bostic (Lila). Six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.
A funeral service for Mr. Bostic will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ralph Rodriguez officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Friday evening, February 4, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
