Richard Timothy"Tim" Love, 57, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, January 12, 2024, at the Haven Hospice – Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City, after battling ALS exasperated by COVID. He was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida on January 21, 1966 to the late Clarence Edward Love and Mary Carolene Maner Love. He has made  Fort White his home since 2002. After moving to Fort White, he was first employed with Lake City Community College until he was laid off. This led him to begin his career with the Florida Department of Corrections where he worked for 13 years, until his health required him to retire. He was a member of the Elim Baptist Church and in his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, going to the beach, mountain biking. bird watching, and tinkering outdoors. Tim especially enjoyed being with his family and friends poking fun, making jokes and telling stories. He is preceded in death by his brother, Clarence Edward "Buster" Love, II.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Jami R. Love of Fort White; son, Zachary Love of Lake City; daughter, Zoey Love (Lamar Walker) of Gainesville; brother, Brian Lee Love (Pamela) of Middleburg and his sister, Cindy Sue Ames of Jacksonville. His mother-in-love Jane MacManus (Gary) of Fort White; sister-in-love, Shelley Love of Jacksonville and his long time best friend, Richard Peralta of Jacksonville and many cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.

A celebration of life service for Mr. Love will be conducted on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Elim Baptist Church. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 A.M. prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are under the direction and care of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME.
