Raymond "Rit" Allen Logan, 68 of Lake City, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017 at the Lake City Medical Center.  He was born in Lakehurst, New Jersey and moved to Lake City at an early age.  Mr. Logan was a member of the 1967 graduating class of Columbia High School.  He served in many capacities in the Lake City community including as a Past President of the Lake City Country Club, Past President of the United Way and Past President of the Lake City Rotary Club where he was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow.  Mr. Logan worked over 20 years with S&S Food Stores retiring as Vice President and owned and operated several businesses in Lake City.  He was preceded in death by his father, Stewart Logan; his mother and step father, Rita and Winton "Bill" Walker; and his brother, Mike Logan.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Janis M. Logan, Lake City; his son, Ray Logan (Trisha), Gainesville; his daughter, Brandy Womble (Brad), Lake City; six grandchildren, Emma Logan, Carter Logan and Baby Logan all of Gainesville; and Lilly Swan, Ellie Womble and Avery Womble all of Lake City; one nephew, Mike Logan (Meagan), Lake City.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Rev. Eddie Blalock and Rev. Elmer Crews officiating.  Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service on Friday from 1-2:00 PM at the funeral home.  The family strongly request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice.
