Ray Sherrill Sistrunk, 80, of White Springs, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, March 8, 2025 at the Haven Hospice – Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City after a brief illness. He was born in White Springs on May 10, 1944 to the late Stanley & Estelle Sistrunk. He served in the Florida National Guard for over 22 years and served in Agriculture Law Enforcement for over 25 years. He was a member of the Lake City Nazarene Church; and in his spare time enjoyed farming and working with cattle.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Lula Mae Sistrunk of White Springs; daughter, Stephanie Finnell Johns of Lake City and his son, Derrill Sistrunk of Fort White. Three grandsons, Trent Sistrunk (Carson), Trevor Sistrunk (Brandi) and Garrett Finnell (Marissa); and six great-grandchildren, Olivia, Brinleigh & Cooper Sistrunk, and Aubree, Lynlee & Emree Stalter also survive.

A funeral service for Mr. Sistrunk will be conducted on Friday, March 14, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial chapel with Pastor Glen Weatherly, officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery in White Springs. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Thursday evening, March 13, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
