September 8, 1940 – January 2, 2019
Mrs. Priscilla Moore Pace, age 78 of Lake City, passed away on January 2, 2019 at Shands Medical Center in Gainesville after a short illness. She was born in Havana, Florida to the late Tom and Troy Swing Moore and was a graduate of Leon High School class of 1958. Mrs. Pace retired from the Columbia County School System after 30 years of service. Mrs. Pace was a loving wife, perfect mother, grandmother and sister who loved her family and friends dearly. She was a faithful member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church and volunteer of the Pregnancy Crisis Center in Lake City. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Talmadge Pace; two sons, Steve Pace (Sharon) and Kevin Pace (Tracy); one daughter, Laurie Benefield all of Lake City; one sister, Sara Singleton (Julian), Lake City; two brothers, Berne Moore (Pam) and John Moore (Debbie) both of Tallahassee; seven wonderful grandchildren, Jessica Pace, Kristen Pace, Sara Beth Pace, Katie Nyssen (Ben), Drew Benefield, Leighann Benefield and Dylan Pace; her beloved dog "Sarge"; and a host of cousins that loved her dearly.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church with Pastor Kevin Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
