In Loving Memory of Peter Patrick Ojeda

Peter Patrick Ojeda was born on March 17, 1944, in Brooklyn, New York. He lived a life filled with family, music, service, and the memories that will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Peter proudly served his country as a United States Marine and was a Vietnam War veteran. His service was an important part of his life, and his family will always remember his courage, dedication, and sacrifice. Semper Fi, Peter.

Peter had a special love for music, especially playing the harmonica. Music brought him joy, and his family will always remember the sound of his harmonica and the memories connected to it.

Peter was one of six children. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Maureen and Olympia. He is survived by his sisters Dolores and Louise and his brother Joseph, along with many nieces and nephews and their families.

Peter was the proud father of three children, Peter (Katrina), Scott, and Amy (Daniel), and famously known as Pop Pop to his 6 grandchildren Ashley, Wesley (Peter), Jessica, Justin, Zachary and Christopher (Amy) and sixteen great-grandchildren: Scarlett, Cecelia, Drew, Genevieve, Tobias, MaryAnne, Luke, Wayne, Regina, Natalia, Vera (Ashley), Ava, Colt (Wesley), Kory, Ariel, and Eli (Jessica).

Peter will be remembered for many things: his service as a United States Marine and Vietnam veteran, his love of music, his harmonica playing, and, most importantly, the family and memories he leaves behind.

Though Peter is no longer with us, his life continues through the generations of his family, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and loved ones will carry is memory in their hearts and share the stories that keep him close.

The music may have grown quiet, but the memories will never fade. A memorial service for Mr. Peter Patrick Ojeda will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at 12:30 P.M. at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. A local service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at the American Legion, in Lake City, FL, Post #57.
