Pennie Ann Harrell, 68 of Lake City, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017.  She was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late Walter A. High and Sarajane Woods High.  Mrs. Harrell had lived in Lake City for the past 30 years having lived prior in Trenton and Tampa, FL.  She worked many years as an EMT and a poll worker in Columbia County.  Mrs. Harrell was of the Methodist faith and member of Branscomb Memorial Methodist Church in Tampa.  She enjoyed playing Bingo, traveling and spending time with her family.  Mrs. Harrell was preceded in death by her husband, William Lonnie "Bill" Harrell, one brother, Frank High and two sisters, Lois Bloodsaw and Bobbie Jean Ling.

Survivors include her son, Sean Wesley Toole (Mary Lou), Charleston, WV; one daughter, Georgia Lee Grimm (Lawrence), Tampa; one sister, Diana "Dee" Scott (Mac Chappell), Dublin, GA; her brother, Carl High (Helen), Avon Park; step-son, Lonnie Wayne Harrell (Karen), Ft White; and eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jay Watson, officiating.  Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
