Patricia Murphy Masters, 69, of Lake City, passed away on Sunday afternoon, February 11, 2024, after losing her battle to cancer. She was born in Morristown, New Jersey on May 5, 1954 to the late Thomas Murphy and Elizabeth Treverrow Murphy. She moved to Lake City, FL with her family in the late 1960's. She is a graduate of Columbia High School, Class of 1972. She worked for Royal American Management as a Property Manager with Lakewood Apartments in Lake City, Fl for 36 years. She loved her residents past and present of Lakewood Apartments and considered them family. She was set to retire in May of this year and was still working just a couple of weeks ago. Anyone who knew her will not be surprised that she was still working and serving her residents. In her spare time, she enjoyed camping, traveling, spending time with the love of her life Yeager Gaston, her four children, family, and friends; she also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Sarah Marissa Davis; and her brothers, Tommy & Jimmy Murphy.

She is survived by her children, Alison Kight (Edward) of Port Charlotte, FL; Tiffany Jones (Greg) of Panama City, FL; Courtney Bryan (Jason) of Lake City, FL; and Dain Cohee (Summer) of Lake City, FL; the love of her life Yeager E Gaston of Pinetta, Fl., along with his children who she considered her own; Yeager C Gaston of Atlanta, GA., Dale Vickers (grandchild Charlie Vickers) of Clyattville, Ga and Ashley Vickers of Alpharetta, GA. Brothers; Tim Murphy (Brenda) and Brian Murphy both of Lake City, FL. Nine grandchildren, Austin Davis, Dakota Davis, Raven Rowland, Paris Jones, Hailey-Ann Cohee, River Cohee, Ian Beckman, Brittany Kight, and Ramsey Robertson; along with fourteen great-grandchildren and one grand-dog, Sadie Bryan also survive. Also, many beloved cousins and nieces and nephews. She felt so blessed with such a big family, and will leave her legacy behind.

A celebration of life service for Ms. Patricia Masters will be conducted on Friday, February 16, 2024. Visitation will be from 3:00-4:00 P.M and the service directly following at 4:00 P.M in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel.
