Obituary

Patricia Annette Conk, 81, of Lake City, Florida, passed peacefully into God's loving arms on December 20th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 10, 1943 in Panama City, Florida to John Daniel Hobbs and Irene Cassady Prince.

Annette was a woman of deep faith and compassion, dedicating her life to her family, friends, and community. She was a devout Christian who lived her life as a reflection of her faith, embodying grace, kindness, and unwavering compassion. Her joy was found in serving others, sharing her wisdom, and offering an open heart to those in need. Her devotion to her family, church and community, and her steadfast belief in the power of prayer were guiding lights in her life. Her warmth and generosity touched countless lives. Her wisdom, kindness, and unconditional love left an indelible mark on those who knew her.

A tireless community volunteer, Annette was passionate about helping to feed homeless children, meeting the needs of the less fortunate in her community, and supporting the Episcopal Church and local charities. Her contributions were a testament to her belief in making the world a better place, one small act of kindness at a time. She believed deeply in the importance of serving others. She is leaving behind a legacy of  love, faith, and selflessness that will continue to inspire all who knew her.

In addition to her community work, Annette enjoyed square dancing, hosting parties, gardening, reading, crochet, shopping, travel, and decorating. She was also known for her steadfast encouragement, support, love, and prayer for her friends and loved ones.

Annette had a profound love for animals, which was evident in the way she cared for her own pets and any creature in need. Her home was a haven for rescue dogs and cats, and she treated them like cherished members of her family. Annette's compassion for all living beings was a reflection of her generous heart and gentle spirit.

She is survived by her brother  Bobbi J. Hobbs, her daughter Patricia Diane Jones, her niece Cyndi Leverett, her stepdaughter Christy Victoria Conk, her grandchildren Ruthie Rainbow Perkins Arad and John David Perkins, her great grandson Skyler Ocean, and her great-great grandchildren Maverick Ocean, Riley Ocean, Dory Warriner and Calvin Warriner. She was preceded in death and welcomed into Heaven by her beloved husband Wayne Richard Conk, her siblings Joseph D. Hobbs, Johnnie Myrl Hobbs Flowers, and Virginia "Ginger" Long Kelley, and her granddaughters Baysha Crystal Perkins Ocean and Christina Capri Penley-Perkins Warriner.

Burial will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery following cremation. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the St. James Episcopal Church Backpack ministry program and the Lake City Humane Society in honor of her generous spirit.

Annette will be remembered for her boundless love, unwavering faith, and the light she brought to the lives of everyone she met. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on in the lives that she touched and the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. She is now resting in the arms of her Savior, awaiting the glorious reunion with those she loved.
