Patricia L. Adams, 74 of Lake City, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016 at the Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City.  She was born in West Palm Beach, Florida to the late Charles and Frances Milkins Lee and had made Lake City her home since 1978 having moved here from West Palm Beach.  Mrs. Adams had been a volunteer with the Columbia County Sheriff's Office assisting with helping children get fingerprinted.  She was also a member of the Columbia County Republican Party and had served several years as treasurer.  Mrs. Adams was a Christian by faith.  She enjoyed reading and had helped with many weddings thru the years by making the cake and flowers.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph O. Adams and her son, David Orel Adams.

Survivors include her two daughters, Cindy Adams (Koby), Lake City and Peggy Baskette (Artie), Leesburg; one brother, Robert Lee, Lake Worth, FL; three sisters, Lucy Dalton (Olen), Tampa, Cathy Fanning (Bear) and Barbara Hamlin both of Commerce, GA; four grandchildren, Ashley Roach (Walter), Lake City, Daniel Adams, Gainesville and Austin and Adam Baskette both of Leesburg; and two great grandchildren, Samantha and Adaline Roach both of Lake City.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 3:00 PM in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel.  Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the funeral on Thursday from 2-3:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center at 6037 W US Hwy 90, Lake City, FL 32055.
