Pamela McCollum Dicks, 47 of Lake City, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at her home in Lake City with her family by her side.  She was born in Carrolton, Georgia to the late Milton Garland McCollum and Emily Jean Mason.  Pam was raised in the Bremen, Georgia and Hilliard, Ohio communities before moving to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and then to Lake City in 1987.  Pam was a strong advocate for persons with disabilities and also for animals.  She volunteered for many years with "M.A.D.D."-Mothers Against Drunk Driving and Melrose Elementary School tutoring kids on reading.  Pam was always willing to help when she could and active when able with the AWANA'S program at her church, Southside Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 16 years, Joseph Paul Dicks, Lake City; one brother, Brian McCollum (Amy), Alma, GA; step-mother, Lois Mullins (Porter), Spring, TX; God-mother, Norma Smith, Villa Rica, GA; father in law, Spencer Lee  Dicks, Lake City; mother in law, Annette Barcia, Lake City; three step sisters, Michele Malenky (Greg), Delaware, OH, Melinda Smith (Victor), Columbus, OH and Melissa McCracken (Tim), Spring, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family also survive.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Ralph Rodriguez officiating.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to M.A.D.D. or to your local animal rescue shelter.
