Oscar Robinson, 54, of Lake City, FL, went home to be with the Lord after a brief illness, on May 7, 2023. He was born on July 29, 1968 in Plant City, FL, to Oscar and Rosa Mae Anderson. He was later adopted by Arthur Robinson when his mom remarried.

Oscar, the most loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather is survived by his wife, Regina; brother, Mark Woodard; sons, David Heringer (Nina), Josh Heringer (Tammy), Jason Heringer (Erin), and Xavier Robinson; daughter, Rachel Cooner (Donnie); grandchildren, Elizabeth Cooner, Adelaide Heringer, CeCe Heringer, and Coleman Heringer; bonus daughter, Brittany Warder.

After graduating from high school, he went on to work for Plant City Parks and Recreation until 2000, when he moved to Live Oak, FL to open a gym with a long-time friend. There he met his wife, Regina, and they were married in 2003. He worked for the Department of Corrections for 11 years before retiring from the Alachua County Roads and Bridges in 2021.

Oscar's joyful charisma was infectious and he never met a stranger. His passion to serve God was evident in everything he did. Always wanting to learn more and grow deeper in his faith, he was actively involved in his church, small group, and visiting church members. He was an avid movie fan and a huge superhero nerd. Most of all he loved his family and friends unconditionally.

A service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, May 13, at 3:00 pm at Church on the Way, 196 SE James Ave, Lake City, FL. Donations in Oscar's name can be made to Church on the Way.
