Norman Albert "Pops" Reeder, Sr.

Norman Albert Reeder, Sr., 87, of Fort white, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 18, 2026 at the Lake City Health and Rehab after an extended illness. He was born in Jackson City, New York on October 16, 1938 to the late Almer Albert Reeder and Alice Elizabeth Cole Reeder. He has made Fort White his home for the last several years and never met a stranger. Norman was a career over the road truck driver with more than two million safe driver miles to his credit.

He is survived by his children, Norman Reeder, Jr. (Sherry) of Owego, NY, Daniel William Reeder of Greenville, SC, Linda Futch (Timothy) of Fort White, FL, Cindy Lou Simmons (Scott) of Piedmont, SC, Lucinda Reeder of Fayetteville, NC and Barbara Foreman (William) of Okeechobee, FL; and one brother, Rodrick Reeder. Fourteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren also survive.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at the Collective in Fort White, FL at 1:00 PM.
