Mr. Norman J. Coquyt, 85, of Lake City passed away from natural causes on Friday, November 16, 2018 at his residence. Born in LaPlace, LA, he was the son of the late Frank and Nellie Clement Coquyt and a Veteran the U.S. Army. He lived in Houston, TX for many years prior to moving to Lake City in 1982. To those who knew him, Norman was a loyal friend, a committed member of his Parish and devotee of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Norman had three loves in his life: his family, his faith, and his country.

Norman is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nelda; his four children, Natalie Olsson (Ron), Nathan Coquyt (Donna), Nancy Simmons (Jeff), and Neil Coquyt (Felicia). Through them Norman was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Norman is also survived by his brother, Francis Coquyt.

Funeral Mass for Mr. Coquyt will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Epiphany Catholic Church with Father Rob Trujillo celebrant. A Rosary will be recited at 4:00 P.M. Monday afternoon with a visitation following from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
