Mrs. Nora P. Wainwright, 92, of Lake City gained her Heavenly Wings on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at the Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City. A native of Lawtey, FL, she was the daughter of the late J.T. and Carris Irene Taylor Prevatt, Sr. Nora loved working with kindergarten children and had worked at the Southside Baptist Church Kindergarten and The Kindergarten Center in Lake City. Her family was her life and she very much enjoyed time with all of them and enjoyed sewing, gardening, and camping. Mrs. Wainwright was a member of Gateway Baptist Church in Lake City. She is preceded in death by her sisters Irene Rick and Carolyn Giddens.

Mrs. Wainwright is survived by her husband of 71 years, Earl Maxie Wainwright; son, Randall Wainwright (Rhonda); daughter, Teresa Norris (T.D.); brothers, J.T. Prevatt, Jr. (Wanda), and Glenn Prevatt (Kathy); sister, Elizabeth Perry; grandchildren, Whitney Mowry (Dale), Randi Williams (Corey); Becky Wetherington (Don); great grandchildren, Adisynn and Harper Mowry, Rylee and Bristol Williams, Hannah Plueger (Wesley), Megan Lally (Joe); great-great grandchildren, Brody and Lawson Plueger and Evelyn Lally.

Funeral services for Mrs. Wainwright will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Drue Thompson and Pastor Steve Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, December 13 from 10:00-11:00 A.M. (1 hour before service) at the funeral home.
