Nancy Irene Elgie Gust, 63, of Lake City, FL, passed away on October 15, 2014 at Suwannee Valley Care Center (Haven Hospice) in Lake City. Nancy was of the Lutheran faith. She was born in Miami (Dade) , FL in 1951. She was a lifelong resident of Miami and Homestead prior to moving to Lake City, FL in 2006. Prior to moving to Lake City, FL, Nancy was an integral part in her and her husband's business, Gust Electric. Nancy was a kind and generous woman who always thought of her family and friends first. She graduated from Miami Killian High School and was a supporter of Bosom Buddies after her diagnosis of breast cancer in 2006. She also loved fishing and diving in the Florida Keys. She was preceded in death by her parents Mary and Tom Levitz; father: Jim Elgie; and brother: Dale Elgie.

Survivors include her devoted husband, Jerry Gust; 2 step daughters, Stephanie Gust of Gainesville, FL, and Charlene Gust Thompson (Andy) of West Palm Beach, FL; brothers, Joseph Dunaway (Dottie) of Lakeland, FL and Jim Elgie of Monroe, GA; sister, Sylvia Morton (Ken) of Lake City, FL; sister in law, Diane Carson (Malcolm) of Snellville, GA; brother in law Ronnie Gust of Tucker, GA; three grandchildren, Joelle, Danielle and Lucas and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 10:45 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Suwannee Valley Care Center (Haven Hospice) 6037 W. US Hwy 90, Lake City, FL 32055 or the American Cancer Society.
