Nancy T. Acosta, 80, of Gainesville, Fl., passed away peacefully on Friday, October 17, 2014 at Woodlands Care Center in Gainesville, Fl., following an extended illness.

Born on October 14, 1934, in Lexington, Ky., to the late Harry and Lucille Dorsey Thompson. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Gainesville, Fl., and was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is preceded in death by her loving husband; Alfred Acosta, son; Alan Acosta, grandson: Jarred Richardson, and great-granddaughter; Lacey Langford.

Survivors include her son; Larry Acosta, of Melbourne, Fl., two daughters; Peggy Hood, of Archer, Fl., Virginia Richardson, of Melbourne, Fl., five granddaughters, one grandson, eight great grandchildren, and one great -great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services for Mrs. Acosta will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2014 in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Father Mike Pendergraft officiating. Visitation with the family and friends will be held from (4:00p.m. - 4:30 p.m.) at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations maybe made to Haven Hospice.
