Myrna M. Clifton Richter, 79 of Lake City, passed away at her home on Saturday, July 13, 2024.  She was born in Orange County, California to the late James B. Clifton, Sr. and Norma Eloise English Clifton.  Mrs. Richter had been a longtime resident of Starke and had made her home in Lake City since 2021 when her and her husband, Pastor Robert "Bob" Richter, was called to Pastor Bethlehem Baptist Church on SR 100.  She had previously worked as a secretary with NAS JAX and also New River Correctional Institute in Bradford County.  Mrs. Richter enjoyed riding horses when she was younger, fishing, making ceramic dolls and quilting.

Survivors include her husband, Pastor Robert "Bob" Richter, Lake City; her children, Cheryl Honour, Putnam Hall, Michael Taylor, Sr. (Beth), Keystone Heights, Beverly Mason (Rob), Jacksonville, Wyatt Taylor, Lake City and Dusty Taylor, Keystone Heights; two brothers, James B. Clifton, Jr (Jenny), Keystone Heights and Wilder Lee Clifton (Donna), Keaton Beach; seven grandchildren, Julie, Zaria, Michael, Kendra, Charlotte, Kodie and Dakota; and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Richter will be conducted on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Larry Finley officiating. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  A time of visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International in memory of Mrs. Richter.
