Myra Dell Lee, 96, of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Wednesday afternoon, October 16, 2024 with her family by her side, after an extended illness. She was born in Providence, Florida on November 22, 1927 to the late John Martin Douglas and Elpha Harden Douglas. She has made the Lake City area her home all of her life and worked as a Sales Clerk for a number of years. She loved her family dearly, and would do anything for them; in her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, cooking, being outside and working with jigsaw puzzles. She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, William P. "Champ" Lee; and her sons, Kenneth and Wayne Lee.

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Ann Lee; grandchildren, Amy Cassandra Cook (Lacey), Jim Allen Rowe (Lori), Dawn Mansukhani, Dana Marie Elliott (Chris), William Justin Lee (Heather), Star Wynonna McIntosh (Dustin), Stephen Cody Lee and April Lee. Numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren also survive.

A funeral service for Mrs. Lee will be conducted on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Randy Ogburn officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 2:00 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.
