Trampas Bishop
March 24, 1965 – June 17, 2017
Master Sergeant William Trampas Bishop, 52, of Lake City, passed away suddenly on Saturday evening, June 17, 2017 at the Shands University of Florida Hospital in Gainesville after a sudden accident. He was born in Mitchell County, Georgia on March 24, 1965 to the late William Edwin and Sarah Holton Bishop. He has made Lake City his home for the last twenty years and was a Master Sergeant with the Florida Highway Patrol, whom he has worked for and with for the last thirty and a half years. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and loved to watch football. He loved being a Florida Highway Patrolman, and loved spending time with his family (including his Highway Patrol Family) and loved his son Trampas dearly. He was a member of Grace Life Church and served in the U.S. Army as a Military Policeman.
He is survived by his loving wife; Lisa Bishop of Lake City; son; Trampas Bishop of Lake City and sister; Vanessa Bishop Barnes (Charles) of Pavo, Georgia. Many extended family memebers, friends, Florida Highway Patrol and Church Family also survive.
Funeral services for Master Sergeant Bishop will be conducted on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 11 A.M. at Christ Central Ministries with Pastor's Henry Ortiz, Brandon Elixson and Lonnie Johns officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, June 22, 2017 from 6-8 P.M. at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be considered to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation, Arthritis Foundation National Office 1355 Peachtree St NE, Suite 600, Atlanta, GA 30309.
