Morris Van Albritton, Sr. "Big Moe", 68, of Lake City, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at the Lake City Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born in Lake City on October 17, 1952 to Eunice Davenport and the late Lawrence Bascom Albritton. He has been a life-long native of Lake City and was a Carpenter and Maintenance "Jack of all Trades". He was a member of Christ Central Ministries and in his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, races, collecting, going and riding the woods, reading his bible, gardening, being outdoors, his dogs and especially loved his family and being around people.
He is survived by his wife of over 8 years, Debi Albritton of Lake City; sons, Morris Van Albritton, Jr. "Little Moe" (Amanda) of Lake City and Dustin Shane Dukawicz (Becca) of Greenville, NC; daughters, Eunice Elaina Mitchell and Jessica Dawn Albritton both of Lake City and Misty Gail Lowry (John) of Plant City; mother, Eunice Davenport "Granny Grunt" of Lake City; sister, Katrina Hester (Harvey) of Lake City. Fourteen grandchildren and many extended family members and friends also survive.
A funeral service for Mr. Albritton will be conducted on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Christ Central with Pastor Lonnie Johns officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 A.M. prior to the services.
