Mitchell DeWayne Tillman, 57 of Lake City, died Sunday evening, May 12, 2019, at Shands at the University of Florida.  A native of Palatka, Florida, Mr. Tillman had lived in Lake City most of his life.  He loved his friends and family and mostly his dog of 15 years, Missy.  He loved working with the family business of making trips to North Carolina with his nephews, hauling palm trees.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathryn McRae; his father, Dallas Tillman, and his daughter, Kathryn Tillman.

Mr. Tillman is survived by his daughter, Leanna Ward (Matthew); three grandchildren, Ellie, Bentley and Penelope Ward, all of Sunset Beach, NC; four sisters, Mary Siano, Leesburg, FL, Ruth Howell, Alma Tillman and Malinda Clemons all of Lake City, FL; three brothers, Randolph Tillman and Edgar Tillman both of Bostwick, FL and Dallas Tillman, Leesburg, FL;

Memorial services for Mr. Tillman will be conducted at a later date.
