Mildred Louise Hunt, 93, of Lake City, Fl., passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Shands Lake Shore.

Born on July 11, 1922 in Ellisville, Fl., to the late George William Polhill Sr. and Mable Grace McNair Polhill.  Mrs. Hunt attended and graduated from Mason City school, she enjoyed knitting, quilting, working in her flower garden, was a member of the Advent Christen Church, and she also enjoyed playing Bingo at WillowBrook Assisted Living. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Elmer Hunt, daughter; Gloria Hunt Shields, son-in-law; Robert Gary Shields, and sister; Edna Lee Polhill Witt.

Survivors include her grandchildren; April Shields Williams (Jeffrey) , Robert Gary Shields Jr., great grandchildren; Brittany M. Williams, Madison Grace Shields, Connor Hunt Shields., brothers; George W. Polhill Jr., Edward J. Polhill, niece; Cynthia Polhill, nephew; William Polhill also survive.

Graveside services for Mrs. Hunt will be conducted at 11:00am on Friday, July 8, 2016 at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Robert Bass officiating.  Visitation with the family and friends will be held one hour (10:00am-11:00am) prior to the service at the funeral home.
