Mr. Michael Wayne Williams, 64, passed away at Shands in Gainesville on Saturday, October 25, 2025, following an extended illness. He is preceded in death by his father, James Marion Williams. He is the son of James Marion and Geneva Thornton Williams. He was a lifelong resident of Lake City and enjoyed fishing, playing softball, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Michael is survived by his two daughters, Stacey Williams, Lake City, FL, and Stephanie "Sissy" Williams, Ft. White, FL. his mother, Geneva Williams, Lake City, FL, two brothers, Jimmy Williams (Sherry), Lake City, FL, and Tommy Williams, Carlton, GA. Six grandchildren: Brandon, Peyton, and Dana Barwick, Kaleb Root, Triston, and Shayla Williams. And one great-grandchild, Joshua Lee Barwick.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Gateway-Forest lawn Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Reverend John Terry officiating.
