Mr. Michael Clarence Rogers, Sr., 76, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at the Suwannee Valley Care Center (Haven Hospice) in Lake City, following an extended illness. He is the son of the late Clarence K. and Mary Frances Ward Rogers. Michael is a lifelong resident of Lake City and was of the Baptist faith, and he enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, working in his orchard, flint knapping arrowheads, and collecting arrowheads. He also owned and operated Buggy Bags with his wife for many years.

Michael is survived by his wife of fifty-six years Shirley Rogers, Lake City, FL; one son Michael Clarence Rogers, Jr. (Liz), Lake City, FL; and one daughter, Sharla Michele Fredrich (Ken), Lake City, FL; five grandchildren Micala Gafford, Jaidyn Rogers, Bailey and Gracey Rogers and Richard Cole.

Funeral services for Mr. Michael Clarence Rogers, Sr., will be conducted on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Lake City, FL, with Pastor Andy Cook officiating.
