Mr. Michael Anthony Moody, Jr., 48, passed away on February 12, 2025, unexpectedly. Michael is the son of Kitty. And is preceded in death by one son Duston and his grandparents Harold and Joylee Brillhart. Michael was a member of the graduating class of 1995 from Columbia High School right after high school Michael went to serve his Country in the United States Marines from 1995-1999 and after the Marines, he joined the US Army and served from 1999-2002. After living in Arizona for a while Michael returned home to Lake City, FL. where he worked many years at the post office and was currently working with the Department of Transportation as a supervisor for the bridge crew. Michael was a "Jack of all trades" he was always helping others in any way he could even doing "Little Things" if it helped. He loved fishing, gator hunting, camping, riding the side by side, and working on projects whether it was carpentry or mechanics. His greatest thing was to go on adventures with his wife to see as much of the world as possible.

Michael is survived by his wife Angella Moody, his three daughters Angelica, Sabrina, and Janet, his mom Kitty, his aunts Rose Meadows (Mark), Rachel Daniels (Bobby), Rebecca (JD) Robison Carol, his uncle Ronnie Brillhart. His extended family Penny Medico (Ralph), Sarah Arrington (Dave), and the Daisy Ogburn Family.

Funeral services for Mr. Michael Moody, Jr will be conducted on Friday, February 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Lake City.  Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.  Arrangements are under the direction of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 3596 S US HWY 441, Lake City, FL 32025.  Please leave words of comfort for the family at www.gatewayforestlawn.com.
