Michael Hutcheson, 66 of Lake City, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024.  The son of the late Ann Elizabeth Linsky and James Cecil Hutcheson.  Mike as he was known by many, was born in Orlando, Florida and raised in the Methodist Children's Home in Enterprise and by his grandparents, William Clark Linsky and Elizabeth Johansson.  Upon graduating high school, Mike entered the United States Navy where he served for 20 years.  After retiring, he pursued real estate but when the market crashed, he decided to try his hand at trucking which he succeeded at for 13 years.  Mike was an intelligent man who was always reading, to better his understanding of his dreams.  He was a world traveler, dog lover and a God fearing man.  He was a father of four and a friend to many.

Survivors include his four children, William Hutcheson, Christopher Hutcheson, Michelle Hutcheson and Kathryn Hutcheson; his brother, Kenneth Hutcheson; his sister, Barbara Hutcheson; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Hutcheson will be conducted on Monday, February 5, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville.  Interment will immediately follow with military honors rendered by the United States Navy.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to mental health and PTSD awareness.
