Melissa Brigham Macy, 95, passed away July 29,2011. Melissa was born June 24, 1916 to John B, and Flora S. Brigham in Concord, Mass.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, CPO Gordon A. Macy, retired USN, her parents, four sisters and two brothers.

Melissa traveled with Gordon during his tour of duty in the US Navy. They retired to Florida making Lake City their final home in 1962. Melissa was active in Columbia/ Bethel Homemakers for many years. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Untied Methodist Church, where she was very active and held various positions on the church board.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews and their families, as well as many dear friends.


A graveside memorial will be held 10:30 AM, Saturday, August 13, 2011 Pleasant Grove Untied Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Al Tracy and Dusty Bailey officiating.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Pleasant Grove Untied Methodist Church fund, or to Haven Hospice, 6037 W US HWY 90, Lake City, Florida 32055.
