Mrs. Mattie Lou Hamm Prescott, 74 of Wellborn, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016.  She was born in Valdosta, Georgia to the late James Mack and Polly Ann Nash Hamm.  Mrs. Prescott enjoyed Wellborn Knights Racing, picking blueberries, doing puzzles, playing cards and going to yard sales.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Hamm.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Julius "J.C." Prescott, Wellborn; two sons, Jeff Prescott (Deanna) and Jamie Prescott both of Wellborn; one daughter, Denise Prescott Cone (Greg), Middleburg; one brother, Johnny Hamm; one sister, Annie Lou Pope; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Prescott will be conducted on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. W.C.
