Maryland Norris Skeen

Maryland Norris Skeen, 78, of Lake City, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at her residence following a brief illness. She was born on July 6, 1948 to the late German Norris and Vera Raulerson Norris Hillhouse. She was a life-long resident of Lake City and worked in Administration with the Florida Department of Corrections for many years until she retired. She was a member of the First Advent Christian Church of Lake City. She is preceded in death both of her parents; her brother, John Norris, and sister-in-laws, Lillie Ford and Joyce Rouch.

She is survived by her loving husband, Cecil Skeen; sons, Rob (Lisa) McMullen and Steve (Susie) McMullen; and one brother, Dave (Betsy) Norris. Nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and two special nieces, Quinn Ford and Sallie Peat, along with two fur babies, Kiwi and Duce also survive.
