Marylan Lee Kerley, 79 of Lake City, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at the HCA Florida Lake City Hospital.  She was born in New Smyrna Beach and had made Lake City her home since 1986.  Mrs. Kerley, along with her late husband of 49 years, Ronald "Kerley" Kerley, owned and operated the "Rib Shack" on south 41 and also "Kerley's Barbeque in Lake City.  She loved billiards, golfing, fishing, playing bingo and poker tournaments.  Mrs. Kerley was a member of the American Legion and the Moose Lodge in Lake City.  She was preceded in death by her husband; her mother, Elizabeth Stone; and one son, James Russell "Jimmy" Samrov; and one brother, Doug Brannan.

Survivors include her children, Frank Capallia, Pamela Roach, Kerry Kerley and Crystal Ratliff (Robin) all of Lake City; one sister, Stella Oneal; eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren also survive.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 4:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Interment will follow.  A time of visitation with the family will be two hours prior to the service at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
