Maryann Rose Carisi, 81, of Lake City, passed away on Saturday evening, December 21, 2024 at the HCA Florida – Lake City Hospital in Lake City after a brief illness. She was born in Staten Island, NY on December 19, 1943 to the late John Vincent Burns and Anna Rose Conlon Burns. She has made the North Florida area her home since 1989, moving here from the New York area. She was a Registered Nurse by trade, and was instrumental in setting up the first ever "crash cart" in the ICU unit in the St. Vincent's Hospital on Staten Island. She retired from nursing in 1997, and in her spare time, enjoyed cooking, reading, listening to Jazz Music and spending time with her precious grandchildren, whom she loved very dearly. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of over 40 years, Richard Vincent Carisi; sister, Bernadette Discepolo; and her step-sons, Richard Carisi, Jr. and Wayne Carisi.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Megan Rose Little (Jordan) of Lake City; step daughter, Janice Carisi-Rose (Michael) of New Jersey; and her three grandchildren, Brandon Gaylord, Kelsey Wolcott and Levi Little.

A Memorial Mass for Mrs. Carisi will be conducted on February 8, 2025 at 11:00A.M. in the Epiphany Catholic Church with Father Diego, officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME.
