Mary J. "Jenny" Anderson, 79 of Lake City, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the Bedrock Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lake City.  She was born in Jacksonville, Florida to the late John E. Rasmussen and Mary J. Weeks Rasmussen.  Mrs. Anderson had made Lake City her home since 1971 having previously been a longtime resident of Jacksonville.  She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Lake City Garden Club, Gateway Art Gallery-Art League of North Florida and the Friendship Club of Lake City.  Mrs. Anderson loved art and worked for many years as an interior designer.  She also loved traveling and had visited many countries.  Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 52 years, George A. Anderson in 2018; and her son, Adam Troy Anderson in 2019.

Survivors include her daughter, Camilla Paige Donnelly, Lake City; and two granddaughters, Dixie Caroline Donnelly and Victoria Belle Donnelly McKay and Grandson-in-law, Ryan McKay, all of Lake City.

A graveside funeral service honoring Mrs. Anderson will be conducted on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Riverside Cemetery on Normandy Blvd. in Jacksonville, Florida.  A time of visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening, June 11, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Gateway Art Gallery-Art League of North Florida, in memory of Mrs. Anderson.
