Mary Sue Harris Pittman, 83, of Fort White, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 7, 1940 in St. Petersburg, Florida, she moved to Fort White in 1988. Mary Sue lived a life filled with love, laughter and devotion to her family.

Mary Sue dedicated her career to the US Postal Service, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. Her passion for travel and meeting people brought joy to her life and to those around her. Her happiest moments were spent with her family and in the kitchen making delights for others.

Mary Sue is survived by her children, Clint Ryan Pittman (Ann), Chad Harris Pittman (Tiffani), Shannon Estelle Pittman Arant (David), Richard Lee Pittman (Diana) and Randle Ray Pittman. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Tyler, Trevor, Chase, Brett, Sydney, Patrick, Christy, Karen, Ethan and Katelyn; along with loveable great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life gathering for Mary Sue will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 3:00-5:00 P.M. at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home. A private family interment will be conducted at a later date in the Sunnyside Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the Pittman family requests that donations please be made to the Suwannee River Breast Cancer Awareness Association honoring Mary Sue's commitment to helping others. Mary Sue will be deeply missed in the hearts of those who loved her.
