Mrs. Mary Ann Dawson, 54, of Lake City died Monday night, January 21, 2008 at Shands at Alachua General Hospital in Gainesville. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI to the late Edward and Emily Mae Davis Hoplite and moved to Lake City eight years ago from Wisconsin. In her spare time Mrs. Dawson enjoyed collecting pandas, playing bingo, looking for treasures at flea markets, enjoyed her friends and spending time with her husband and family. She was of the Lutheran faith.

Mrs. Dawson is survived by her husband of 35-1/2 years, James S. Dawson, Lake City, two sons, James S. Dawson, Jr. (Sue), Mt. Horab, WI and Robert A Dawson (Heather), Janesville, WI; one brother, David Burress (Diane), Madison, WI and one grandchild, James Ethan also survive

Memorial services for Mrs. Dawson will be conducted on Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Lake City with Pastor Bruce A. Alkire officiating.
