Ms. Mary Lucille Banther, 74, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023, at Haven Hospice in Gainesville, FL. She is the daughter of the late Elwood Jordan and Ina Alice Ramey Adams. Ms. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of over forty years Richard Larry Banther, she is preceded in death by one brother Roy, and two sisters Thelma Jean and Alice. Ms. Mary was of the Baptist faith and had made Lake City her home for the past forty-eight years after moving from Clayton, GA. She was the head of LCMC nursing until her retirement and enjoyed singing, spending time outside in the sun, and was a big family person who loved all her family.

Ms. Mary is survived by her daughter Tia Mosby (Michael) Gainesville, FL, and her granddaughter Rebecca Mosby, Gainesville, FL.

Graveside funeral services for Ms. Mary Lucille Banther will be conducted on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Lake City, Florida with her son-in-law Michael Mosby officiating.  Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  A time of visitation with the family will be Wednesday, January 3, 2024, one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
