Mary Alice Atkins, 80, of Lake City, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2015, at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born August 16, 1934, in Laurens, SC, to the late Harry Guy and Lois Foster. She was a graduate of Winthrop University in Rockhill, S.C. and remained to teach physical education until she retired from Winthrop. After retirement she moved to Lake City, Fl., where she went to work at the HRS Office for 20 years. Mrs. Atkins enjoyed working on her crossword puzzles. She loved her two sons greatly.

Survivors include her two sons; Robert "Ric" Atkins, Roderick Atkins, and dear friend Greg Buttrick all of Lake City, Fl.
