Our Sister-in-Christ, Marty Robinson Nikula, 61, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday afternoon, February 16, 2023 after a brief illness. She was born on October 29, 1961 in Winter Haven, Florida, and was the second smallest baby born in the Winter Haven Hospital as of October 29, 1961. She has made the Mayo, Florida area her home most of her life and was a member of the Beulah Baptist Church in Mayo; but, she attended and visited the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Lake City often. She worked as a housekeeper and in her spare time, she enjoyed taking care of her cousins and her cousin's babies, whom she affectionately called her babies. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to Savannah. She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Marshall Robinson and Joyce Lavonia Jackson Robinson.

She is survived by her sister, Beverly A. Hall (Danny) of Lake City; her niece, Baye Ballew of Lake City; and her husband of 3 ½ years, Larry Dennis Nikula, II of Mayo. Many cousins and extended family and friends also survive.

A Celebration of Life service for Marty will be held on Monday, February 20, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. in the Oak Grove Baptist Church (Off of US Highway 441 North). The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 P.M. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations please be considered to Haven Hospice, 6037 W. US HWY 90, Lake City, Florida, 32055. Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME.
