Ms. Martha S. Sherrod, 86, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at her residence following an extended illness. She is the daughter of the late Ira J.  and Blanche Edith Hardee Stalvey.  She is preceded in death by one son, Darryl Cobb, and a daughter, Cheryl Bochette. She had made Lake City her home after moving from Wellborn, FL. She attended Church on the Way, and enjoyed painting, crocheting, sewing, gardening, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Ms. Martha is survived by her husband of forty years, Walter B. Sherrod, Lake City, FL. Her children Jerry Cobb (Teresa), Ft. White, FL Kim Webb (Roger) Lake City, FL; Walter Leroy Sherrod (Rhonda Kay), Walter B. Sherrod, Jr. (Tina)Lake City, FL; David L. Sherrod (Mary Jane), Kenneth "Butch" Bochette, all of Lake City, FL, Teri Sherrod (Randy Powell) Middleburgh, FL. her grandchildren, Daniel Webb (Megan), Miranda Hysell, Brock Sherrod (Stephenie), Brandy Pullis, Candy Fitzpatrick (Shannon), Tyler Sherrod (Megan), Marilee Boozer (Jake), Kolby Sherrod, and Tiffany Masters (Jason) and sixteen great-grandchildren also survive. Along with a host of nieces and nephews and extended family.
