Martha Jane "Marty" Cook, 81 of Fort White, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at the Solaris HealthCare of Lake City.  She was born in Benton, Illinois to the late John Busiere and Jessie Smother Busiere.  Ms Cook worked for many years in the medical field as a Licensed Practical Nurse.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and two husbands, Joe Thomas and Woody Cook.

Survivors include her daughter, Leigh Ann Thomas, Ocala, FL; one brother-in-law, Mike Sadler, Salina, KS; one nephew, Brent Sadler, Salina, KS; and her special adopted family, Goerge, Maureen, Chiendza and Nyasha Mashava, Pensacola, FL.

A celebration of life service for Ms Cook will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at 1:30 PM at Parkview Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Tatem officiating.  Interment will follow at a later date at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
