Ms. Marie T. Plyn, 97, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024, at her residence following an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late William Edward and Octavia Calloway Toenes. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-two years Percy S. Plyn, Jr. Ms. Marie had made Lake City her home since 1993 after moving here from Tampa, FL. she was a member of h2u sponsored by the Lake City Medical Center. She enjoyed yard sales, and bingo, and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Ms. Marie is survived by her son Randall Plyn (Cheryll) Lake City, FL; one daughter Sherri Kaeck (Scott) Sanderson, FL; and four grandchildren Caleb Kaeck, Jason Plyn, Rachel Griffis Kaeck, and Madison Plyn. Four great-grandchildren Brody Griffis, Kelton Kaeck, Owen Griffis, and Kenadie Kaeck, and one great-great-grandchild Brentlynn Griffis also survive.

Funeral services for Ms. Marie will be conducted on Friday, June 21, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Lake City, FL with Pastor Mike Norman officiating. Private interment services will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
