Ms. Margie Jean Lawrence, 80, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022, at the Bedrock Rehabilitation and nursing center in Lake City, FL; following an extended illness. She is the daughter of the late Charles Monroe and Mildred Hyers McEhenney she is preceded in death by her husband Jesse Lawrence. After coming here from White Springs, FL, Margie had made her home in Lake City for the past fifty-eight years. Margie was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, lake City Moose Lodge, and enjoyed playing cards, and crossword puzzles.
Margie is survived by her five children, one son Robin Lawrence, Lake City, FL; four daughters Carlene McCubbins (Jeff) High Springs, FL; Sara, Jessica, and Amber Lawrence all of Lake City, FL three sisters Maudette Strickland (Sidney)Lake City, FL, Marilene Musslewhite (Don) Lake City, FL; and Terrie Williams, Tampa, FL. Seven grandchildren, Austin Lawrence (Samantha) Lake City, FL; Colby Sullivan (Lyndsey) Gainesville, FL; Kaleigh Sullivan, Gainesville, FL; Brandon and Bryce Callen, Macclenny, FL; Jalyn Park, Lakeland, FL; and Makiyah Lawrence, Jacksonville, FL; two great-grandchildren Sawyer and Carolina Lawrence.
A Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Lake City, FL; with Speaker Charlie Parnell officiating, the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
