Margaret L. "Ace" McGinness, 89 of Lake City, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024 at the HCA Lake City Hospital in Lake City.  She was born in Chesterfield County, Virginia to the late Charles Francis Jones, Sr and Alice Melva Wright Jones.  Mrs. McGinness made her home in Lake City for the past 23 years having moved here from Iselin, New Jersey following her retirement from Dapper Bus Company in Iselin.  Mrs. McGinness enjoyed crocheting, making afghans for everyone she met and making welding caps and do rags for her boys.  She was proud of her ancestry and loved collecting anything with a Rebel flag.  She was a member of the "Flying Needles" in Lake City.  Mrs. McGinness was a staunch supporter of Donald Trump.  She was kind, compassionate and intelligent women who adored her family and grandchildren, especially her two grandsons, Wayne and JR, who warmed her heart like no other.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Ronald McGinness, Lake City; four sons, Charles T. McGinness (Patsin), Colorado, Ronald McGinness, Jr, Lake City, Patrick John McGinness (April), Lake City and Joseph Henry McGinness, II (Tracy), Jackson, NJ; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

A private visitation for family will be held at the funeral home.
