Lucy J. McElroy, 83 of Lake City, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023, at the CHI St. Vincent's Hot Springs Hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas, while visiting family there.  She was born in Clermont, Georgia to the late William S. Edge and Millie Truluck Edge.  Mrs. McElroy had made her home in Lake City since 2003 and had been previously a longtime resident of Brandon, Florida.  She worked for many years as a Deputy Clerk with the Hillsborough County Clerk of Circuit Court.  Mrs. McElroy enjoyed crocheting, listening to gospel music and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Hiram J. McElroy, Lake City; her daughter, Robin Anderson, Riverview, FL; and two brothers, Tom and James Edge both of Georgia.
