Loyd E. Gaylard, 71, life long resident of Lake City, FL passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021, at the Lake City Medical Center following an extended illness.  On November 18, 1949 he was born to Lavon Gaylard and Vera Jenkins Gaylard. He was a Christian and member of Pine Grove Baptist Church in Lake City, Florida. After proudly serving his country in the US Army, Loyd spent most of his working career in the plumbing and electrical industry as a salesman. After retiring, Loyd moved to Suwannee County; he is preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Pattie J. Gaylard. He is survived by his fiance Sandi Boatright, son Andy Gaylard (Dana), grandchildren Drew (Emerald), Dara and Max, great-grandchildren Blakeleigh and Raegen. Brothers Ervin (Cindy), Charles, Robert (Jackie), and sister Louise Driskell also survive along with numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life service will be held Thursday January 28, 2021 at 4:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Rev. James Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service (3:00-4:00) at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
